Hi All,

Right now we are using Jtext Version = 5.6.0, Connector Framework version = 4.3.0.

My doubt is can I apply fix pack directly 5.6.4 or
I need to apply in sequence ie. Fixpack 5.6.1, Fixpack 5.6.2, Fixpack 5.6.3 and Fixpack 5.6.4 ?

Best Regards
Durga

Usually the fix packs are cumulative. But, there might be exceptions to that. What does the readme of the fix pack say?

Yes, Vennala is Right........... fixpacks are cumulative.......... ie if you have fixpacks 1 , 2 and 3, 3 should have all the fixes in 1 and 2.......

One more question you said "Right now we are using Jtext Version = 5.6.0, Connector Framework version = 4.3.0. " is there any connector frame work version 4.3 ?....

Yes in jtext fix pack 5.6.4 Read me file says it fixes all 5.6.1 to 5.6.3.

But one more confusion is
For Fixpack5.6.4:
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=WBI+Adapter+for+JText&uid=swg24013736&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&cc=us&lang=en

Installation Instructions

After the installation of the fixpack, the following files will be replaced :
connectors\JText\CWJText.jar;connectors\JText\Dependencies\commons-net-1.1.0.jar;connectors\JText\5724H03J050600.sys

But in the Download package
In updatedFilesList.txt they mentioned the following files only.

solaris
\connectors\JText\5724H03J050600.sys
\connectors\JText\CWJText.jar
\connectors\JText\ReadMe.htm

now the question is why they mentioned about connectors\JText\Dependencies\commons-net-1.1.0.jar in Installation Instructions?

which instruction is correct. Actually when we apply fixpack 5.6.4 this file not updated .
what about commons-net-1.1.0.jar also need to be updated?
Can you please advise on this ?

regards
Durga

Bhavya,

You can use WBI Business object designer to save MQ as a txt file .
Just use File-->Save Copy To File and select save type as txt.

Btw did u have Business object designer?

Durga
