Hi All,

I am not able to connect to CM thru toolkit while creating the domain. My environment: SLES 9 SP3, DB2 v8.1.2.120, WMQ 6.0.2.0, WBIMB 6.0.03, Toolkit - 6.0.02.

I created the SYSTEM.BKR.CONFIG svrconn channel on CMQM.

The following error pops up when trying to connect:

BIP0915E Message Brokers Toolkit is unable to communicate with the Configuration Manager.

Reason:

WEbsphere MQ queue manager CMQM cannot be reached.

Ensure first the Queue Manager is available.
If so, then do the following:
1) Disconnect from the Domain if already connected.
2) Connect to the Domain.
3)Retry the operation.

The details gives the following msg:
A Configuration Manager has not been defined on queue manager 'CMQM' (MQ reason code 2085 while trying to open a queue)

Any body having any clue.

Regards,
Rax

did u create a configuration mgr (using mqsicreateconfigmgr or otherwise) with the queue manager name as CMQM.
The error message is indicating that the config mgr was not defined .. if defined ..maybe it is corrupt ...
just my thoughts..

Hi rax,

Reason 2085 = MQRC_UNKNOWN_OBJECT_NAME
Most probably the QM name is wrong.

1. The QM is on your system or remote ?
2. Can u ping the system, if remote.
3. Do an mqsilist and check the QM that the ConfigMgr is using.
4. If remote, did u create an acl entry ?
5. Do u have all the authorities required ?

Regards.
