Hi guys,
Has any of you, or you know anyone who installed (successfully) MQSeries 5.2.1 using the Win2000/NT CDs on an XP machine?
I have trouble doing this, I tried three times and it gets into a loop at the end. All is OK (apprently) when I stop it, I can create queue managers, but no queues, channels or other objects.
Can anyone help, pleaese!?!?!?

XP is not a supported platform for MQSeries (any version). Many have tried to get it to work, and I haven't heard of anyone being successful. _________________ Brandon Duncan

I was able to get a fully functional queue manager only after creating all the default objects which took for bloody ever. It's OK if you really only want runmqsc from the command line. MQSI also worked without a problem.
However, I was unable to resolve the problems with MQSeries Explorer as the mmc was completely broken.
I finally gave up and installed 2000.
I heard that MQ 5.3 would support XP, though.
ciao,

WebSphere MQ 5.3 will run on XP, however, don't try the beta version available for download on the IBM site (though it's in production now). The beta version won't work on XP _________________ Bill Anderson
