How does one make programmatic use of the "Coordinator of Role" property? Does this user have certain rights within that role or does this property only exist for organizing your staff (i.e., simply knowing who the coordinator of a role is)?
I do know that you can obtain the list of Roles a particular person can coordinate (NamesOfRolesToCoordinate), but what does this give me?
Thanks,

The only benefit I've seen to Coordinator of Role is for Staffing purposes. I.E. you can assign an activity to the Coordinator of a particular role (BTW, this bypasses the Staff Resolution Algorithms, so it is quite efficient).
I would be much more likely to use this if I could say I want the coordinator to automatically have access to the Workitems of all of the members of a role.
I don't find the feature to be all that useful... hope this helps _________________ John McDonald

I agree. If I could assign a Coordinator to a Role and have that person automatically have access to the worklists of the Role members, the feature would be much more useful.
As an aside, it would also be useful to be able to get at the Role Description programmatically. |

If you are a large MQWF Customer, please make this requirement known to IBM. I have been asking for Staff APIs since the FlowMark days, and they always seem to say yeah that's a great idea, someday it will happen. If you find this really limiting make it known to IBM.
You might also ask for some "Exit Points" in the Staff Resolution alogrithms, (another thing that would help in your situation I believe and that I have been asking IBM about for many years) _________________ John McDonald
