Hi,
I am new to this group. I had gone thru all the messages. I have a peculiar requirement from my client.
We have installed the MQSeries server on the Unix machine.
We have installed the MQsereis client on the Windows 2000 machine.
Now the problem is the security.

The customer says that he will not allow to use MCAUSER because that will allow any client to connect to the Server.
The customer says that he will also not create any user who will co existing on the Windows and the Unix machine.

The customer is ready to provide the user name and password of the Unix server who has the rights on the MQSeries. But we should be able to use the username and password and log into the Unix Server and do things programmatically or using the Environement variables. I tried doiing it but i am always getting the error 2035

Can somebody help?
Thanking you in advance for your help. Your help will be apreciated. This is very serious problem we are facing for the past one week

Thanks and Regards,

You must buy/build a security user exit. When the client connects to the server, the server has an associated code exit that may be called. In the code exit, authentication can be performed. This means that the connection request can be allowed or denied. Implicitly, the userid that the client program is executing as is supplied in the initial connection request. If further validation is required, the security exit can request that a partner exit at the client can also be invoked to return more data (such as a challenge password).

You might want to look at some of the SupportPacs (which can be found at: http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/txppacs/txpm2.html#cat1)

MS06: MQSeries Security White Paper
MS0C: MQSeries Security Channel Exits using Entrust/PKI
