Why a xmit queue is attached by a java process? it

Queue name application
myxmitq mqseries client for java

the system intercommunication guide is your friend.

but a brief explanation

messages can only be stored in local queues
a transmission queue is a local queue
a remotequeue is no local queue, but has an underlying transmission queue
if a program openes a remotequeue the messages will be put to the xmitq, so the xmitq has to be opened (instead of the remotequeue
