Hi ,

supposed i have a qlocal called Q_TEST


i use java program to put messages to this queue but there is no listener/receiver program listen to this queue
means the messages is still in queue and nobody has consumpted it right?

I am using Websphere MQ v 5.3 in Solaris 10

Is there any good command to list how many number of pending messages / message in this queue in Solaris?

can it be done using runmqsc??

perhaps DISPLAY QL(Q_TEST) CURDEPTH might be useful....

Yes, runmqsc works and so does MQ Explorer.

If you need a list of more tools then Google would have shown you:
