Afternoon All

We have a setup where we have a generic startup script to start 10 qmgrs on different machines. Im working on a new requirement that involves triggering. Im wondering if its possible, instead of modifying the start script, to update the qm.ini for two of the specific qmgrs in some way so that the runmqtrm process starts at the sametime the qmgr does ?

I've checked through this website and the sys admin guides, and while there is plenty of excellent info i cant quite see if this can be set as a ServiceComponent or equivalent.

My setup is AIX running MQ 5.3 csd 11
Any help is always appreciated

Cheers
Phil

Prior to V6, the only way that I'm aware of starting a TM is through a start-up script .... this, of course, is the reason "service" objects were put into V6.

Well, on Windows, v5.3 supported Custom Services.

Yes, that's why I didn't mention it as a solution to PhiliB's problem.

But prior to v6, there is a way to start a TM without using a script - on one single platform.
