Anybody heard any particulars about the Websphere Technical Exchange next week? In particular, is there any news that may not be on the IBM website? _________________ IBM Certified MQSeries Specialist

Hi Wayne,
How much MQ stuff is at the Websphere Technical Exchange? I seriously thought about being a vendor at it, but in the end, decided against it.

A couple of "intro presentations" on broker (aesb). Nothing on base MQ.
But, a flyer was handed out here:
"WebSphere Fast Track for SOA
Save the date May 20-25, 2007
Marriott World Center, Orlando FL
Please join us for our first ever WebSphere Worldwide Conference
combining WebSphere Technical Exchange with Transaction and
Messaging Technical Conference" ..... _________________ -wayne |

Hi Wayne,
What was the attendance number for Websphere Technical Exchange? Were there mainly WAS developers or WAS Admins? or evenly split? Or was the conference largely geared towards managers and business analysts?

Hey Roger, I have no numbers for attendees, it did SEEM to be somewhat more than T&M. I'd say that there were sessions for all the above groups, and based on chats at breakfast/lunch tables and questions in rooms, there was a mix of programmers, admin and mgmt (although probably less pure mgmt)...just my impressions ..... _________________ -wayne |
