Hi,

I have this problem, on my stand alone XP i have installed MQ 5.3 CSD8 with SSL, I have migrated to version 6.0.0.0 successfully. But after the migration I see that the qmgr is running on MQ Explorer but I don't see any folders (like Queues, Channels, Namelists etc.) under the QMGR. In fact the QMGR don't have the + sign before the name. I did run the command strmqm -c for creating the SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL and it didn't help

I did read the Migration Information but it doesn't help me much

Am I missing something here?

Hi

strmqm -c <QMGR_NAME> will help you to refresha and recreate the missing system objects.

before doing that you have to close the MQ Explorer.

you can see 40 objects created or recreated under that (i mean after strmqm -c <QMGR_NAME>.

Please ensure about this.

SSL you have to do some other steps, please look in to migration issues document.

Thanks and Regards

No I didn't uninstalled the previous version. I know it will works if I uninstall the old one and install the new version, but what i wonder is why I have a migration option and MQ Explorer doesn't works.

SSL parts works correctly.

Thnx

Given that there is no "+" next to the queue manager then I would guess
that you are not connected to the queue manager.

To be able to connect to a local queue manager the directory containing mqjbnd05.dll needs to be in your path, it could be this has not been set correctly, or is not being picked up by your current user on windows.

To confirm this, press right mouse button on the "IBM WebSphere MQ" node, and select "Properties..."

In the dialog that appears select the "Configuration Information" item in the left hand side of the dialog and check to see if mqjbnd05 loaded is yes or no.

If it is not loaded check that your path is set correctly, you should have
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib in your path. And check that mqjbnd05.dll is located in that directory.
