we have a problem ticket stating that the cluster repository is unavailable for a queuemanager.

I need to debug this issue. How to proceed further. Which logs i should look for?. All the queue managers are running in Unix.

You could try using the information in the Clustering manual to backtrack what repository the failing queue manager is using and from there why t thinks it's unavailable......

(Hint - how do queue managers normally communicate?)

Ask the person that opened the ticket why they think there is a problem.
