hi evry 1,

Iam using RHEL 4, and installing MQ 6.0 , and got the following error AMQ6109 while creating a qmgr.

this is the fdc we have.

I think this issue must have been found previously, as it appears to have been covered by some new words in the following manual page: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv6/v6r0/topic/com.ibm.mq.amq1ac.doc/amq1ac0450.htm

Specifically, check the value for SEMOPM is 5 or greater.

hi mvic,

cat /proc/sys/kernel/sem gives the following output : 1024 128 0 32
but unable to change the values though have write permissions.
and herer im unable to identify which among these are SEMMSL and SEMOPM. i expected the second value to b SEMMSL and third to b SEMOPM.
Still unable to save the changed values. any suggessions.

I have no more knowledge of this particular issue than the MQ manual page for which I gave the URL, sorry.

When I asked someone here, they suggested looking at the man page for "proc", thus:

I hope this is helpful; I haven't tried any of it myself.
