Hi,
Recently we upgraded our version 5 configuration Manager to version 6.
In the miqsicreateconfigmgr command we gave -n parameter as the v5 configuration manager Database DSN.The migration went successful.
However the -n parameter is optional and is used just to migrate ConfigMgr from v5 to v6.
but v6 configuration manager doesn't require any database for its functionality.
can we delete the v5 Database after migration or keep it ? does v6 configuration manager still needs this database for its normal fuctioning.?
i have one more issue after migration.when i stopped the broker on solaris box,its not reflecting the changes in the toolkit
we don't have any fixpack installed for v6 config mgr, will this be an issue?

V6 configmgr does not require any external database. But, if it were me, I'd keep the db around for a while until I was 100% sure that I wasn't going to regress back to V5.
I'd suggest putting the latest service on the configmgr and broker and toolkit before trying to diagnose any further problems. _________________ -wayne
