Hi all, i want to create a user defined exception catalog in Solaris but iam unaware of the steps required for that. i have seen the procedure for the same in windows but i need to do that in solaris. can any one explain the step by step procedure or atleast give the link for the document having the procedure.

Solaris is a form of Unix, so the instructions for doing so on Unix apply.

For Linux and UNIX systems, these messages are written to the SYSLOG facility, and your message catalog must be delivered as an XPG4 message catalog.

Hi Jeff, i was asking the procedure for Solaris, not windows. I have already seen that. That was useful for me to create a catalog in windows. But how to do the same in Solaris?

You have to create an XPG4 catalog.

The Message Broker Info Center doesn't contain any information on this, as far as I know.
