Hi Jeff,
It does create the dir /var/mqm/log/QM/active.
When I trying to creat QM,
crtmqm XX
It says QM created and also states AMQ8146 error
like the following
MQSeries queue Mqnqger created
AMQ8146: MQSeries queue mqnqger not availqble.
segmentation fault.
I have noticed that it creats QM, under /var/mqm/qmgrs/...
thanks

But during the crtmqm process are there actual log files.
S00000001.LOG (maybe more zeros) ???
Iam trying to determine where in crtmqm process you are failing.
Creating the log files is near the end of the process. _________________ Jeff
