I am new to pub/sub using WMB. I see that there is a publication node in WMB V6 for the publisher. But I can't see a subscription node for subscribing. Did I miss something ? I used MQ pub/sub before and subscription requests are sent by program to the borker. But If I want to use a message flow which use the content of the input message to determine which topic to subscriibe to, how can I do it ? Do I need to trigger an external program to do it ? |

You need to send a subscribe message to the SYSTEM.BROKER.CONTROL.QUEUE in the broker queue manager to subscribe for a topic. The message should have the topic name, queue name and queue manager name of the subscriber.
Refer to the manual on Publish Subscribe for MB6 on how to send a subscrition message.
Regards,
VK. |

Thanks, I remember that's what we did some time ago with MQ pub/sub. I want tp make sure that there is no easier way when I am using Message broker V6. SO what you mean is I have to determine what topic I want to subscribe to and then ouput a subscription message from the flow to the
SYSTEM.BROKER.CONTROL.QUEUE in the broker queue manager ? |
