Hello.

We are having problems using a debug session between the WMB Toolkit 6.0.0.2 on a XP workstation communicating with RAC 6.0.1 on AIX 5.3 pSeries.

The problem is no execution group appears when trying to establish a debug session.

There is no firewall between the workstation and the AIX server. The RAC has security turned off and is starting. We see the listener (10002) on the AIX server.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

One more thing:

The WMB Runtime on AIX is 6.0.0.2

Thanks.

Look at "servicelog.log" under "config" folder of RAC.
If it's empty - you probably have a configuration problem.
If it's not - you may find there the reason to the problem.

At least you could see if it's between Toolkit and RAC or between Broker and RAC.

Alexey.

Last time we had this problem there was a permissions problem for reading / writing the pipe files for RAC.

Enjoy

Does the RAC have to run as root or is it recommended to run it as another user like mqsiuser?

I recall the install docs saying you install the RAC as root but makes no mention of running the RAC as root also.

Thanks in advance.

OK. I have it working now.

I started the RAC as root and everything is working fine.

Thanks!
