All,

Has anyone been able to develop a custom web based queue browsing utility? Or is there a configurable/customizable utility already out there?

We have a client who wants a custom queue browsing utility and am trying to figure out the best way to accomplish this. Thanks in advance.

have you looked at the latest version of QPasa (MQSoftware)?

I'm sure many others have it too... They will just charge you some $$.

There've been a bunch of postings here about "QFLEX".

I'm almost positive that Tivoli Omegamon XE includes this feature as well.

Hi,

Are you looking for a 'Queue Monitoring' or 'Queue Browsing' tool? If you are looking for a 'Queue Browsing' tool, then have you looked at MQ Visual Edit?

It is not a browser-based solution but it does have a lot of great features!

A reasonable solution would be to install MQ Visual Edit with the JVM on a LAN drive. Hence, the user would install nothing on their local PC – except for the icon to MQ Visual Edit. MQ Visual Edit even allows you to share the ‘Queue Manager Access Profiles’ (queue manager connection information). One user could generate this file then stored on the LAN drive for everyone to use.

Note: MQ Visual Edit is licensed to the end-user so you would need to purchase enough licenses for all users that would be using MQ Visual Edit.

Yes, MQ Visual Edit is not a browser-based solution but all features, support and management of the solution should be considered.

Regards,

Hi,

You can webstart HermesJMS which, although it does not cover all the MQ specifics, is good enough for many.

Roger, you should consider a webstart version of VisualEdit/Browse.
