The MQ Administration manual states that the the queue manager must be stopped through Cluster Administration (stopping the QM resource) when using Microsoft Cluster Service (we are using Win2K and MQ 5.3). My questions are the following:
1. Does MSCS stops the QM in QUIESCE mode?
2. Is it possible to have " in flight " items that gets lost?
My own assumption is that the QM does stop in QUIESCE mode and that nothing gets lost since the purpose of QUIESCE is to make sure that any MQI calls currently being processed are completed before the QM stops.
