In my message flow when I get errors I access the MQMD.PutTime , save the time and send it to the support team as an XML field.
I see that the MQMD.PutDate / Time are in GMT. Is there a way to configure it to reflect it to the current time? |

As messages travel around the world, date time is in GMT for a good reason.
Nothing prevents you from using a tool (java for exemple) to display the information in local date time...

Why is it that so many don't have a clue how to do this? _________________ IBM Certified MQSeries Specialist

We in the UK only have one time zone!
And the same for majority of European countries AFAIK
AND we own GMT !! _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

But we are not on GMT in the UK now, we are on BST (GMT+1)....!
So the ball on the top of the Royal Observatory at Greenwich drops at 1pm local time. |

MQ will always use what the machine tells it is UCT (errr...GMT) ... you could lie to the machine about the TZ, but most people wouldn't support that idea... _________________ -wayne |

I certainly wouldn't support it! (And that has nothing to do with ball ownership )
Changing the TZ setting on the machine would require some serious impact analysis - you'd need to be certain what all the other software on the box was doing regarding timestamps.
It's best IMHO to stick with the original suggestion from fjb_saper - accept that the MQ timestamp is in GMT and convert it to local time before saving. Certainly has the least risk and gives you the most control. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
