Hi All,
I am located in Los Angeles area (USA) and would like to get some information on the training available in this area on MQ Series.
Also it would be helpful if I can get information on costs and timelines for training in the following
1) MQ Administration.
2) MQ Implementation with good experience on Java and/or C++ programming but no MQ experience.
3) MQ Implementation without Java, C++ or MQ experience.

1st. You will get detailed information on availability of trainings on your area on www.IBM.com
There is a whole range of trainings that might be of interest for you.
To get a basic understanding of MQ and it's administration you might take the class MQ15 (MQ Administration I).
There are classes available on programming as well. For Java you might take the class MQ09 (MQ Programming using base classes for Java)
MQ14 if you are interested in JMS (MQ Programming using JMS). MQ09 and MQ14 do require understanding of Java.
There are also classes available for C programmers. But I don't know the course numbers of them. You are best of checking the ibm homepage.

Well that depends. Mainly on availability of ressources. You can always get an onsite training with a rather short notice. But than that makes only sense (moneywise) if you have more than 5 people (approx. depends on the exact training)
That thing behind that link looks not too bad. But please note that they are referring to Version 5 certifications, so they might still provide V5 trainings, which is definately not what you want.
Also you don't know in advanced of what quality those trainings are.
But then there are some partners of IBM who are allowed to use original IBM education materials, and send the exact same trainers that would do the classroom training at the IBM training center.
All in all there is a good chance that you receive a valuable training from an non IBM training center. But there is also the chance that it is not worth a nickel.
Please be aware that I am working for a partner of IBM who is doing a fair amount of the MQ Trainings in germany (for IBM). Including the ones I have recommended to you.
So I will have to admit that I am painted blue (that sentence is perfectly working in german  ). And might not be 100% objective on this matter. |

blau gestrichen Or even blau angemalt. But No1 works better |

Courses found on ibm's website www.ibm.com/training are taught by ibm-certified instructors using ibm materials. I'm pretty sure all MQ classes are now taught using V6.
Public classes are most often taught at IBM-Authorized Training Provider locations, or occasionally, at an IBM site. There is no difference in course content.
Private classes, taught at your site, can be arranged. Video (DVD)- and internet-based classes are also available. |

Yep the IBM ones are all in V6 |
