Hi All!

Is there a way to write a log file in WMB by ESQL?

Thanks

Socky.

Hi sockynow,

There was a custom log writing node in v2, I think its still on the IBM site...but it wasn't migrated to v5 or v6...if you can take the pains then it should be possible...

Else use the File Extender nodes, though they are not exactly meant for writing logs...

Regards.

In MBv6, you can use the ESQL statement "LOG" to write entries to the system log.

You can use the Trace node to cause data to be put into a file - it's not very efficient.

Otherwise, there is no I/O capabilities for anything other than databases in ESQL.
