Hi,

I create 2 QM (MQSeries 5.2) on AIX (4.3.3). I can start them with no prob, but when i want to test them, i receive an error :

/usr/mqm/samp/bin/amqsput QM1.Q_TEST
Sample AMQSPUT0 start
MQCONN ended with reason code 2059

This error code is generic and mean that my QM is "not OK for connection", How can i identify the trouble ?

I have heard about memory trouble with the IPCCBaseAddress. Did someone have informations about it ?
see : http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/support/summary/javasupp.html#AIX

Thanks for you help

Did you define one of the queue managers as default ??? if not then you
need to specify a queue manager name on the command line
amqsputc QUEUE QMGR

Thanks for your help, i just make a mistake, i have invert QM and Q in the parameter for amqsput, the correct syntax is :

amqsput <Queue> <Queue Manager>
i have to specify a QM 'cause i've not a one by default (as you say)
-----------------------------------------------------
But for the IPPCBaseAddress, it seems to be a real problem.
When i use a Java Program with MA88 API, i have a 2059 error code and the solution is explain at :

http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/support/summary/javasupp.html#AIX

Does anybody know exactly why this problem arrived ?
how can we detect it before getting the error code ?

Thanks in advance

I don't know of any way to detect this problem before it occurs. However, with 5.3, there has been a switch in the WebSphere MQ memory model so that it can make use of AIX extended shared memory. In other words, you can get rid of the IPCCBaseAddress parameter and use the EXTSHM environment variable.
