Using Datainsert node,i'm inserting values into Oracle(9.2) table.

In the msgmap file, I'm calling an esql function which returns a character value 'A'.
But,while trying to insert it into the target table , An exception is raised saying "Text = [DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver]String data, right truncated."

The size of the target column is 1. I'm inserting the value 'A' which is also of length 1.

Don't know the reason for the exception...
