Hi ,
I am trying to do the exercise that appears in the redbook
"MQSeries Workflow for Windows NT for Beginners" in Windows XP.
But I can't find the command fmcsiyes.exe on WebSphere MQ Workflow Version 3.6.
How can I solve this problem ?
is there a version of this redbook for Windows XP ?
In advance Thank you !

Ricardo:
That Redbook is quite old, and most likely was written for 3.2 or maybe even 3.1.
Like you, I only have a v3.6 system installed... Perhaps someone out there has an older system and can help out by emailing you the program.

Hi,
fmcsiyes.exe is based on the old FlowMark compatibility API.
As this API has been removed, this exe will not run in MQWF 3.6. |

For this you have to either install MQWF 3.5 so that u can use fmcsiyes.exe
u cannot copy this file and register the same . I belive its a bug as its not packeged in MQWF 3.6

Yes, this program was shipped with MQWF up to V3.5; it doesn't work with V3.6 anymore - the dropped FlowMark compatibility API is likely to be the reason for that, but ...
... when you think about it, the program should not have any need for Fm or MQWF function - it gets a message from its "command line", displays it in a yes/no decision box and sets the return code according to the result.
Once I have brushed up on my VB or VC++ or whatever, really, it shouldn't be too hard to provide a replacement. In fact, it might be easier to implement the activities in the redbook flows via a bat file of sorts ... _________________ -- Gerd -- |
