Our client in the Los Angeles area has a contract-to-hire position for an ICS Developer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
• Responsible for maintenance, support, and development of changes to major business systems, primarily running on middleware platform:
• Research and analysis, changes to programs and jobs, implementations into production, and creation of ad hoc reports and files as needed.
• Responsible for analysis of business application problems, determination and documentation of possible solutions.
• Responsible for understanding and applying all the components of our enterprise project management process to various size projects
• Plan, coordinate, and administer projects of various sizes.
• Develop and maintain Program Design Specifications, Detailed Coding Specifications, Test Plans, Statement of Work, Process Flow Diagrams, and Work Effort Estimates.
• Provide on-call 24 x 7 support for production problem resolution.
• Provide support for some mainframe environments.
• May assist other team members in their duties and responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with IBM’s Integration Competency Center (ICC) development tools and techniques.
• Experience with InterChange Server (ICS) application development.
• Experience with both WebSphere development and WebSphere Business Integration tools and techniques.
• Experience with Java development tools and techniques.
• Experience with MQ or other message driven processing technologies.
• Experience with XML or other message format processing technologies.
• Excellent business application system analysis skills, problem solving, and independent research skills.
• Experience with client server and web based applications and support of these non-mainframe environments.
• Experience with automated testing tools, walkthrough techniques, and other Quality Assurance processes to ensure quality output.
• Experience with on-call production support.
• Experience in writing detailed technical program specifications, release notes, and/or other technical documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal relationships at both the management and technical levels within an organization.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Excellent understanding of COBOL and CICS code, and demonstrated ability to develop and make modifications to COBOL and CICS programs.
• Excellent understanding of VSAM file structures.
• Ability to set up mainframe JCL for test or production jobs, to make changes, and to review JCL for potential problems prior to implementation into production.
• Experience with AFS Level III Commercial Lending system or other lending systems software.
• Business and/or Technical background in Consumer/Commercial/Mortgage Lending, Trade Finance or other Financial Services Industry.
• Project Management experience with an excellent understanding of project management methodologies. |
