My mq support colleague fail to install the service for me |
You cant fail to install the service - as long as you have been through the installation from beginning to end then the service will be installed (assuming you install the server component).
I would try "amqmsrvn -regserver" and see if it works, but that would setup the default (non-active directory) dcomconfig rights, as it really sounds like something isnt configured right. Do you have a group called 'mqm' locally? How did the software get on the machine? |

I have done through your action list posted previously, except step 4. The problem persists.
There is a 'mqm' user group, the MUSER_ADMIN is in this group.
I get it through an installation disc, I think it's ok as all other colleagues use it. That's why my supporting staff asked me to reinstall the whole system. |

Temporarily put MUSR_MQADMIN in the Administractors group (locally) and see if the problem persists - It will indicate if this is a security problem or something else. |

This occurs when the Domain server has not been configured according to Page 71 in the "Windows Quick Beginings" Guide
On the Domain Server you need to:
"Allow" Read Group Membership
"Allow" Read Group MembershipSAM _________________ brgds, Neil |

I hope they're still not waiting for an answer after more than a year.
