I have two questions regarding transactional aspects of mq which I could not find answers:
Can MQ update local and remote database simultanerouly? What capabilities does it require ?
What is a transactional capabilities? Does it mean that the mq has to have transactional client installed? |

1) Ever hear of a "distribution list"? 
2) It means it is capable of, but not limited to, transactional processing.

That would be one method to facilitate it. Of course you would have to configure and set up the distribution list and write the corresponding processes to do the updates.

I understand that. Does it require installing any additional software? When we call mq is transactonally capabale wha does that mean?

I don't think the purpose of this forum is to go into all facets of rudimentary concepts not directly related to MQSeries. If you really want to know basic things like that, take some courses in computer science.
