Trying to create a keystore on a MQ5.3 Solaris system, received:
gsk6cmd -keydb -create -db "/var/mqm/qmgrs/QM.DEV.POSMON/ssl/KeyringRcvr.kdb" -pw password -type cms -expire 365 -stash
An error occurred while inserting keys to the database.
ideas? |

I'd like to use GSK7 but had thought that it was incompatible with MQ5.3
The GSK6 is installed in the environment (and GSK7 is not). I inherited this environment and unfortunately was not instrumental in its construction.
Of course if I was starting from scratch, I'd install MQ6.0.1.0 (comes with GSK7). |

Venella, thanks for the link - that information is very interesting. But I haven't yet found information relative to the question as to whether GSK7 can be used with MQ5.3. Do you have information on this subject? |

I might be wrong, because even the CSD12 talks about gsk6 and nothing about gsk7, so I am not sure.
What version of gsk6 do you have? Maybe you should put the latest gsk6. |

the situation is:
we have MQ5.3 with CSD09
gsk6 at 6.0.3.33
According to the info you gave me (in the link) this early version of GSK6 is causing the problem.
I'm now thinking of just installing the GSK6 portion of either CSD10, 11, or 12. |

You really should install the whole CSD12. CSD09 is known to have major flaws and yanking just the GSK portion of a newer CSD might not solve anything. |
