Does anyone know of a command/utility for exporting the XML configuration from the MQSI using a commandline utility or command?
I'm trying to script the back and recovery of MQ and MQSI on a central machine for one of our environments.
Which configuration? The message flows/sets? Or the runtime configuration?
Generally, you can't export the runtime configuration - you have to bcakup the broker database and restore that.
There is a support pack, or maybe it got rolled into the product? for 2.1 that gave mqsiimpexpmsgsets and mqsiimpexmsgflows or some such. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
Yeah, it's MQSI 2.1 (a pile of a rubbish, I know). It;'s the message flows I was after.
There's an option in the GUI to export and import the XML configuration but I just wanted to see if I could do it from the commandline so I could script it.
I'll check for those two commands on the system though. And if not, I'll backup the whole damn database...
