Hi gurus,
I have successfully installed WMB toolkit 6.0 on a windows 2000 workstation. But when I try to access help or samples I get an HTTP 404 Not Found error in the browser. I think that maybe it could be due to one of my browser settings, but not sure. Also, I am assumming the help contents were successfully installed, but how can I confirm this? If not can the help contents be installed independently. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

Disable the proxy server configuration in your browser, and try again.
If that doesn't work, confirm that your local firewall isn't blocking the port. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I did disable the browser proxy server configuration, but still same problem,
not sure how to disable firewall for local port if that could be causing the problem, but I will update this post if I resolve the issue. Thanks. |

I mean like the Windows Firewall on your machine, or if you have Symantec Network security or whatever. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks a lot for your help. I did get it to work, I had to mess with the firewall settings on the browser. (Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Advanced > Exceptions, needed to add exceptions )
Again thanks. |
