As I can configure the workflow server to launch a JSP, can i also configure it to use servlet ???
Will there be any conflict if I want to use Servlet instead of JSP together with MQWF?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Are you looking to have a servlet or JSP executed as a program in an activity step?

The WebClient is designed as a pull interface. The users need to select the work item they want to start. There is not a PEA associated with the web client. I am not sure if the push option would work here or not. I have not tried that.

I have not played with version 3.3.2 yet so I don't know if IBM added direct execution of EBJ's or servlets yet.

What we did to implement activities in Java was to use the UPES interface and have a server running to execute the needed java activity. We want to move this to the new MDB in Websphere 5.0.

Another option would be to use a PEA on a server. You might want to look for some articles here about running a PEA on a server. I have read a few that indicate there can be some issues, but since I don't use a PEA that way I can not relate my experiences.

Another question I could ask is are you trying to autostart an activity for a user or are these 100% automated tasks with no user interface needed?
