Not from an MQ point of view. But OS might not be able to handle a lot of QMGRs.
IMHO, running more than 3-4 QMGRs on a windows box (that too TEST) doesn't make sense.

Hello Veneela,

We have a Windows Server which is having 7 Queue Managers at the moment. The number Q Manager was icreased from 4 to 7 last week.
We were reported several issues of so called " jobs failures in ETL Applications" after the change in QM numbers. Can this be OS Related/resource problem?

Thanks a lot

Shanu

It actually depends on the resources on the system, what else is running on the system and how many applications are talking etc. But this definitely could be one of the major things to look at.

What happens if you stop the three new ones - do you still get a problem?

We noticed here that there is some sort of Windows memory space limit for number of services running (not just configure) - and, as vennela points out, it all depends on what else is running on that box.

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q184802/
Cause (2) on that page is most likely the issue. Try changing the third value of SharedSection from 512 to something bigger.
