Hi all.

We are working in a POC with WMB 6. We successfully migrated the wintel config mgr (v5) to AIX (v6) in one step. There is one problem. We have not figured out how to connect to the AIX config mgr from Windows toolkit using windows ids.

I've been looking through the Security manual -- but I can't seem to find any userid instructions for the AIX config mgr.

Would you listers be so kind as to tell me or point me to how the security setup for toolkit users works on AIX?

Hi,

Have a look at
Code:
mqsicreateaclentry

It may help.

What is the MCAUSER on the SYSTEM.BKR.CONFIG channel?

Good luck
Stefan

I hate to say it -- but we're hacking our way through things.

I've got resolve a missing lib for the mqsilistaclentry command.

Here's the display on SYSTEM.BKR.Config. It's default:

AMQ8414: Display Channel details.

Well, I'm still struggling... if anyone has any advice, I could use the hand.

The connection error is:
User ACYeh is not authorized to connect to queue manager 'TASBCM00' (MQ reason code 2035 while trying to connect)

ACL's that I created:
BIP1778I: acyeh - USER - F - QASBIB01_BROKER - Broker

BIP1778I: scal/acyeh - USER - F - QASBIB01_BROKER - Broker

BIP1778I: scal\acyeh - USER - F - QASBIB01_BROKER - Broker

I was able to resolve the 2035 for myself by including my windows login id on the AIX platform in lower case (i.e. acyeh). Now, the bigger question arises. How do we install windows login ids into AIX that are longer than 8 bytes?

A simple truncation (e.g. remarbach -> remarbac) did not work. I'm not seeing anything in the documentation regarding this issue. Isn't this a critical success factor for migrating the CM off of Windows?
