Hi all,
Is there anybody who knows how WMB can deal with CBE(Common Business Event)?
I learned that some WebSphere products such as WESB and WPS can work on Common Event Infrastructure(CEI), which allows to manage all events in the system by concentrating them into a database on so-called event server. In addition, I also learned that we can easily configure it in WebSphere Integration Developer (WID).
However I'm not sure how I can achieve the same configuration with WMB whether it is possible or not.
Is it possible to integrate WMB with CEI?
Many Thanks in advance. |

You can use the monitor emitter supportpac (IB01) to format and write CBEs, but that's not available on v6 currently.
As for more native support - well, it's a known requirement; IBM are more than aware of this, trust me |

Thank you very much for your information, mqmatt.
It means that we have to directly write event records to the event database, right?
I hope there will be an easy way to achieve this.
In my opinion, I like more easy way than installing it as a plug-in node.
Cheers. |

CBEs are just XML.
You can read the support pack or the CBE standard to understand how the messages should be built, and then manually build them. Then you can put them onto the right queue to get the WAS/WPS/etc. Common Event Infrastructure to store them onto the database for you. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thank you very much, all.
I appreciate your help.
Well, I understand that I have to manually code something (Ex. ESQL) to acheive this, which is different from SCA modules in WID.
Thanks! |
