Has anyone come across this little rascal before? We created a new queue manager on our primary Tandem cluster, using RDF to allow all audited data to transfer to our contingency machine. We also performed an altmqfls to resize around 100 queues. We then used altmqfls to move those resized files to different volumes.
The result? Primary site has the queues on the correct volumes, but back to the default queue file size. Contingency has a mix of Q, O, and T files with default sizes, plus F and Z prefix files, presumably used as temp work files for the resizing, as they are the resized values. The names of the files on contingency also, invariably, bear no resemblance to those on the primary system.
We also were flooded with copious error 10's, so our contingency queue manager is totally corrupt.
We will redo the exercise, this time doing the move before the resize, and if that doesn't work, we'll turn RDF off, create our queue manager, and FUP DUP and CLEANRDF to contingency. |

We have RDF (not for MQ) , and the software works fine (any problem in 4 years with one real episode of disaster for one Hub APP).
We use altmqfls only for assing Q/SServers or volume , never for resize Qfiles, we always use FUP without problems. |
