Hi,

I am installing MQ v5.3 on windows 2003 with a domain controller. Should I have to specify the domain controller fully qualified name during installation.

Please give a link or URL for this option.

Regards
Sanjiv

Hi,

I have created an user mqadmin on the domain it is a part of MQM group and when I installed MQ on the MSCS I used this mqadmin with the password in the place where it asks for domain user id. The Queue manager is successfully created.

When I try to start the channel it is not allowing me to start the channel is giving error not authorised. So I have added the mqm group to the local administrator account. Now I can start the channels

Please advice what I am done is correct, Please provide a link/ URL for Mqseries installation on a domain controller.

Regards
Sanjiv

Do a dcomcnfg and check which Id it is using for ibm mqservices ( i.e identity field)
If it is not using domain ID change it to use it . Then run the prepare websphere mq wizard ,
Also check if the mqm group is added to domain ID

I have created a group called mqm in the domain and created a user mqadmin added mqm to this user.

But I am getting the below error when I try to create the queue Manager.

I searched in the internet a link suggested me to create a group "domain mqm" and add the user mqadmin to this group. This is correct?

Suggestions are welcome.

Sanjiv

Hi,

I was able to resolve the issue by adding the domain mqadmin user to the local mqm group on the node 1 and node2. I am using MSCS cluster for a failover.
