Hello,
I'm looking for a FREE Transaction Monitor utility for MQ, similar to contact admin's Transaction Manager or Bristol's TV. I don't mind if it's really simple, because I'm just looking to get some basic metrics like message throughput, volume, average size, API calls, etc.
Has anybody seen anything like this?
Any help would be appreciated here. |

I'd be surprised. Usually this is not the kind of business intelligence you want to trust to an unsupported tool.
Also, transaction monitoring - as opposed to basic MQ monitoring - usually requires API exits on every queue manager and unique and identifiable information in every message that can be used to correlate the message with the transaction.
So it's complicated, and therefore takes effort to write the code and test the code. I dont' think there's been enough of a market push for the commercial tools to spawn off a reliable open source/free solution.
But maybe those wacky netflexity guys have had some spare time.
