isn't it an option to leave the existing projects on MQWF and start new projects on WPS? This would at least relieve you from the migration problems. Instead the focus would be how to concurrently operate (federate) the two systems.

I generally agree with this, but it would be a lot easier to do this if there was some statement as to when MQWF would leave support. I am not aware of any date that has been officially announced. It is entirely possible that systems that have been implemented within the last year might live to 2015 (and beyond if we did them right ) and it would be nice to know that MQWF will still have support. The issue as I see it is that if you wait too long, while there will certainly be more expertiese in WPS, there will likely be less expertise in MQWF and that could affect any potential porting of the system.

The import function is not something I will be using when moving from MQWF to WPS. It is my personal opinion that the move is NOT a conversion... it is a rewrite.

Also refering to my post earlier in the forum: FDL 2 BPEL Conversion Error

I have had chance to work with both environments, and would also encourage a rewrite instead of conversion. There may be a few too many complications, that may not be as noticeable in the initial stages.
One big thing that I have discovered is, in MQ Workflow, dynamic notifications are allowed and are easily changed, whereas in WID, the function to allow dynamic notifications doesn't yet exist. Which is a limitation on the new environment.
So a conversion in that instant will produce problems later on.

The decision that I have thus taken.
