Hi All,
I am trying to copy a type from message set A to message set B .
It allows me to copy and then paste the type but while checking in I get the following error:
Could not find the name 'Custom Wire Format' specified for the Language Binding/Physical Format 'Custom Wire Format Extension'
It tells me to add Language Binding /Physical Format with the name Custom Wire Format and type Custom Wire Format Extension to the message set.
I have already added a Custom Wire Format to the message set.
Can anybody advice me if copying of types across message set can be done .
And what is the type 'Custom Wire Format Extension'.

Custom wire format -- Please see the manual.
In your case what has happened is that Msg Set A has a CWF defined say TDF. Now your elements/types/messages have an additional tab called TDF.
When you copy the type this tab and all values under it get copied.
When you paste it to the target, no CWF is defined and hence the error.
Before pasting to Msg Set B create a CWF with thesame name as in Msg Set A.
If you don't know how -- go to Msg set pane, right click on the msg set ->add->physical format->
