This question relates to what happen in the following scenario to a durable subscription in the case of a fail over scenario.
In a Broker collective, are subbscriptions shared amoung broker, even though there may only be a subscriber to one of the brokers? The reason for the question:
2 Brokers in a Collective. Broker A and Broker B
If a subscriber subscribed to a topic on Broker B(as a durable subscriber), and Broker B Server dropped out of the picture(hardware failure or whatever), would that same subscriber be able to resume subscriptions of published messages? Durable subscribers require a subscription ID, so this would imply that subscriptions need to be shared, for the subscriber to resume receiving published messages against Broker A. Does clustering the Broker queues help this? This only would be a problem for Durable subscribers. How does one provide total garunteed delivery of published messages in a broker collective, unless subscriptions are shared?
