hi all,
im trying to install Websphere MQ V5.3 on AIX machine
and i found following files available on the machine.
these files are located in /install/WSMQ.V5309
I already created the required var/mqm, usr/mqm/, opt/mqm, var/mqm/errors, var/mqm/logs...
I'm using the SMIT to install WMQ.
but i don know how to select the files or bundles from the given. and more over these files are .rte files.
I went through the Quick Bigs on AIX...but it's of no use for me, Couldnt find the procedure .
Does anyone of u hav any kind of idea how to install WMQ from the following files....please lem me know the procedure.

The Quick Beginnings Guide for Websphere MQ for AIX, Version 5.3 can be found at: http://publibfp.boulder.ibm.com/epubs/pdf/amqaac06.pdf.
In Chapter 3, " Installing the WebSphere MQ for AIX server", there is a section headed "Installation procedure", follow the instructions in that section substituting the directory where you have the installation images for the CD-ROM device.

thanks Philip, i did tried the procedure, but while installing the software bundle , couldnt find the *.*mqm.
Any way i ll follow the procedure once again.

Just install the

| I don't think just those two will be enough, unless, by installing the server, it will install some other prereqs like runtime etc. |
