Is it possible to create a workitem after certain time period? Like we have a situation where the workitem has to create after 20 days. It has to wait untill 20days if something doesnot happend, then only it has to create that workitem, otherwise it should not.
Is anybody faced this kind of thing? In my research i found only the notification of work item.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Read up on Expiration... that will solve your problem

You can create a dummy workitem just ahead of your real workitem. Assign a dummy user to the dummy workitem and set the expiry time to 20 days. Once it expires after the stipulated time workflow moves on to the next step and creates the real workitem

You need to model the process in which

there would be a work item which will expire after 20 days and

You need to write a program which will be invoked after the expiry of the work item and will create a new one.

This program should be automatically invoked for which you need to keep you scheduling server active.
