All,
IBM have released a new supportpac IS02, which provides a way of administering brokers from the v6 MQ Explorer.
I'm particularly interested in your feedback on this one - either post here, send me a PM or use the contact options in the SupportPac.

More details and downloads here:

Yes, nice work. This pre-req seems a bit confusing however:

Regular pieces of the MQ Explorer.

Import/export saves the config of the Explorer
Message plugin is the message browser
Trace turns MQ trace on/off

can you administrate remote brokers with this tool?

at a first view, you can only add local brokers.

If so, will there be an update (somewhere in the future) where this will be possible?

Add the remote queue manager, and I would expect that you can then manage the broker.

Hello all,

Thanks for downloading the support pac

As Matt stated your feedback is very valuable to us and will help guide this support pacs future.

At present you can only view and administer local brokers but you will be able to administer remote brokers in the future via the configuration manager proxy.

No problem Jeff,
We did want to provide remote broker support in the support pac but due to deadlines we had to postpone it!

Its in the pipeline.

I heard about IS02 at the T&M conference in Atlanta and just got done installing it, but I was under the assumption it would let me administer my remote brokers (since I don't have any locally) - needless to say I'm a little bummed that this isn't supported yet but it's good to hear that it's in the works
