Who's here?

There are rumors of a get-together after the WMB BOF session this evening.

I'm not in charge of the plan, just starting rumors.

The BOF *is* this evening. Hang around afterwards, and see who looks like they are also hanging around.

Or, read badges until you recognize a name...

I hope somebody took a picture. I work for the State of Texas and we never ever get to travel anywhere.

Hooters?

Nobody showed up, so I didn't take any photos.

Well, one person other than me showed up. I ran into kevinf2349 later, and he's a very agreeable person - other than having a penchant for watching world cup soccer in restaurants of questionable repute.

Hey...at least I confessed to Hooters!

Go ENGLAND!!!

btw...Jeff and Wayne are both here and are both people you should take note of apart from their soccer knowledge that is.

Other than that they both 'know their stuff' (not that other don't ... but these guys are certainly worthy of taking notice of)...heck Jeff even defended Jeevan! lol

That shows he's a true Brit.

Sorry Kevin. I'm a rugby league man myself. But, I've a feeling that Hooters could cure me of that. Maybe.

Cheers,

Kevin,
Last year at Orlando someone came up to me and was surprised I didn't look like my picture.

Jeff didn't give u a puzzled look when he first met you, did he?

No. The resemblance was uncanny...

ROTFLMAO

Good one Jeff. Hope you got home safely.

I was told by one of the organizers that next years T&M will be in either Las Vegas or San Fransisco...hope to see you there.

I heard Las Vegas, Dallas or San Fransisco and I complained 'what about Chicago or Detroit?'.

The program coordinator told me that they may be combining the T&M Conference with other conferences because this year's attendence was only 850 people (that includes IBM & vendor personnel).

Compared to last year, when MQ 6.0 and WB-IMB 6.0 came out, not much new in the MQ world in 2006, which maybe why there are fewer people than last. Its the main reason I didn't go. Also Atlanta in June is not the most favorable of locales compared to the other places the MQ conferance has and will be.

Usually IBM announces next year's venue during one of the late-in-the-week lunches. They didn't do that in Atlanta ???

First one I've missed in 6 years (budget constraints and as others have said, not much new).
