This is kind of related to Peter Potkay's item from an earlier post:

What I'm really really wondering is, what if the top 10 or 20 posters just stopped for 3 months? Would the rates for capable, real, MQ admins rise? The amount of free help is substantial, for the aspiring beginner, to the seasoned admin, to numnutz who should pat themselves on the back because they found the Post New Subject button.

I believe that this problem is increasingly prevalent in MQ programming, as well. The fact that corporations do not understand the prerequisite knowledge needed to leverage this technology is a real problem in industry today. Much can be obtained free over the internet including advice, whether it is indeed valid or not.

Those who really know how to develop MQSeries programs in a correct fashion (and I've really met only a few) know that the complete concept cannot be stated in a few sentences. And many of the inquiries I have seen that are of a programming nature are from those who know little, if anything, about MQ and are relying on this site as a replacement for an IBM course in the subject, or even a manual. It's not necessarily the individual's fault, but management's short-sightedness.

By what I am seeing here, I wonder who (if anyone) is attending IBM courses in this subject these days and what companies are they coming from? It would be interesting to see what industries (or at least corporations) are not falling into that trap (at least yet). I'm not sure how it would be administrated, but it might indeed be helpful, particularly to those who are seeking MQ employment to have such a list somewhere on this site.

I rely on this site a lot for a lot of stuff.
Moreover the site is listed in lot of manuals as a source for information.
