We are migrating from MQSI 2.1 to MB 6 on AIX 5.2
on our dev environment we lost the Config manager..
so we dont have any MQSICMDB or MQSIMRDB bacbup

but i guess we can migrate the broker to V6 with out any problem

since we cannot migrate config manager as we lost the data is there any way we can connect the new config Mgr to the migrated (V6) brokers.

Can't you just add it to the broker topology in your new configmgr once your broker is migrated??

Did you try it??

You can't associate an existing broker with a new Config Manager... not without jumping through some hoops anyway. Either:

1) Define the broker in the new Config Manager and use the Config Manager Proxy to set the UUID of the broker's definition to the one that the broker component requires. Then right click the broker, remove deployed children and deploy the BAR files.
or
2) Delete and recreate the broker entirely and deploy BAR files to it.

Either way, it's not looking good for the poor brokers...
