Hi All,
We have a message broker running on Windows 2000 in the production environment. The broker database is The broker database is running on SQL 2000 SP3.
Currently the SQL database userid used by the Message Broker to connect to the Broker DB has full permissions on the database i.e it has db_owner permission on the SQL database.
What is the minimum level of access needed for the user id used by the Message broker which is used to connect to the broker database.
The Customer DBA has informed us that unless we have documentary proof in the manaual that this level of access is required, they can not give db_owner access to this user id.
The MB document does not talk much about the database previlege required with respect to SQL database.
Where can we find this information because we have to give the exact access requirement to the DBA.
Thanks and regards,
-Murali |

For DB2, it's:
Quote: |
db2 grant connect, createtab, bindadd, create_external_routine on database to user mqsiuid |
Perhaps your DBA can use it as a model for SQL. |
