Hi,

I'm working with WBI MB V 6.0 with fix pack 1.

I've down loaded the Mercator plug-in fix pack and successfully installed into toolkit. But while using the node i'm facing the problems.

Here's the problem..

In the node properties there's a property called MAP. In that i've given the path of the Mercator .mmc file. But my flow engine is unable to connect it. What's the problem. What should i give exactly in that property.

Please can any body aware of that. If so please help me.

You know that Mercator now belongs to IBM and is sold as DataStage or DataStage TX, right?

Maybe if you posted the complete exception that you get, that tells you that your flow engine is "unable to connect it", then we can start to help.

But first you should tell us what version of Mercator you are using, and what platform you are running on.

Thanks Jeff,

We are using Mercator 8.0 on Windows 2000.

In the Map property of the node i've given the following path in order to invoke the map "C:\Mercator\276_XML_EDI\Map\276_xml_Edi.mmc".

The map is working properly from Mercator side. Can u just tell me how MB link up with the Mercator map.

I want to know what exactly i need to specify in the map property of the node.

when i run my flow, it is breaking up at the mercator node.Even the failure terminal is attached. But , the flow engine is being disconnected.

Breaking up how?

Disconnected from what?

How do you know?

What errors are generated? Where?

Yeah..tht's wat i can't find. I didn't get any errors. I think the node is not recognising the map. In the Visual Debugger, at Mercator node it's telling that "Unable to communicate with flow engine" and diconnecting the flow.

You should be using the WebSphere DataStage TX Extender for Message Broker. This is a fully supported offering from IBM.

What should i set in the 'Map' property. There i've set the path of the .mmc file.Is it correct way to call the Map or not. Else Provide some links which conatains the Documentation of this node other than the pdf which comes with fix pack.

You'll have to help me out here - I don't know what the "Mercator plugin fix pack" is. Do you mean supportpac? If so what's the number?

That supportpac was designed for WMB V5. It has not been upgraded nor tested on V6, because it has been superseded by the Extender.

Hi

1. Which version of TX ?
2. Which version of MB ?
3. Which platform ?
4. Does your map name have single quotes around it ? 'path_to\map.mmc'
5. What does the Node log file (c:\n.log on Windows) say ?

Hi

In your MQSI\bin directory you should see a file called dstxwmqi.ini. In there you will see some Trace settings. One of those is the node trace file (it defaults to c:\n.log).

When you try and run a map, what does the node trace log say ?

Or

If you have tracing turned on and no trace file, it probably means that the node is not installed/registered correctly.

Hi Scarified,

I've searched for the file "dstxwmqi.ini" in the path "C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers\bin"..
But it's not there...What should i do to get that file? I can see all the plug-in nodes in my palette..

what i've done is...

i've placed the "MercatorPlugIn.lil" in the bin directory of the broker.
And i've placed the SupportPacs folder in "C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers\ibtoolkit\eclipse\plugins" this path..

what's the wrong with me..could you tell me the right way to get that...
