Hi,
I need to backup & restore the configuration manager manager database and message repository database for my project. Should that be done only using the user id 'db2admin' or is it ok if I do that using any other id having Administrative privileges?
Does this cause any inconsistency if I restore the databases on a different new machine using 'db2admin' id?
I use db2 8.1.5 on windows XP.

if the id has administrative previleges then it should be fine to take backup.

i dont think import and export depends on a id. As long as the id has the necessary previleges it should work fine.
